"The horror series, from the deliciously twisted minds of Nick Doan and Daniele Serra, is sure to invoke plenty of 'oohs' and 'ughs' from its readers. Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith, eat your hearts out – you’ve got new cellmates in the crazy bin." - Josh Wigler, WizardUniverse.com

 Channel 52!

Being able to continue my comic for DC was a big deal. To Celebrate the fact that I was working for DC Comics, I dropped a little nod to the major event occurring in the main DC Comics line. DC's groundbreaking weekly comic, 52 was all the rage and I had a washed up news reporter that needed a TV network. Thus Channel 52 with GNDG news was born.

I honestly expected my editors to make me change it. DC would want to keep it for themselves, right? But nobody said a thing and it was published!

And then, some time later, this happened.

So does that make PRAY FOR DEATH DC canon? I don't think so. I've come to understand that most of what happened on Zuda Comics was completely ignored by the rest of DC Comics. I truly believe that no one at DC was aware that I had done Channel 52 first. But it is fascinating that nobody noticed. Was anybody checking anything?

Comics news and rumor website, Bleeding Cool even reported on it at the time.

DC's Channel 52 didn't last long. It was quickly forgotten just like Zuda comics. But it will always be special to me, because it was the closest any Zuda comic came to crossing over with the DC Universe.

Don't forget, PRAY FOR DEATH is ending soon on Kickstarter! Support us now!
